Fasting

I thought I would make another blog entry on fasting...remember that you take the risk into your own hands when deciding to not eat for a period of time. This is just my personal experiences and opinions on the subject.
The most important reason for fasting is that the body uses quite a bit of energy to digest food. When fasting this energy becomes available for other uses. These uses include: scouring for dead cells, damaged tissues, fatty deposits, tumors, abscesses, all of which are burned up by the body or expelled as waste.  Fasting can restore good digestion and waste elimination. Fasting allows a temporary physiological rest of the digestive organs, and the energy saved goes into healing repairing processes. By eliminating obstructions, cleansing, detoxification, and purifying the intestines, the blood, and the cells, we can overcome some of our physical problems or diseased as well as getting an increase in energy. Fasting not only removes obstructions and helps the body to heal itself, it could also rejuvenate and increase the life of body organs and cells. These benefits can have long term affects on your mental and emotional health.
The other important point to remember is that your self-awareness will be elevated. For some people that are sick or have mood/depression problems, this could be the answer they are looking for. While fasting, you usually become more aware of your body process and everything going on with you physically. It becomes a time where you can evaluate all that you're doing more thoroughly and objectively. You should have more time for contemplation because you aren't spending time, preparing, eating, eliminating and cleaning up all the things used to prepare food. You become more aware of what your body likes and doesn't like when you start to eat again. You gain self-confidence in your ability to control your life process. You learn to set a goal and to carry out that goal.

Best attitude toward marketing

Being new to internet marketing myself I often find myself concerned, and even worried, about the idea of making money online. I try my best to not think about the money, and just concentrate on helping people and offering them a solution with the same problems I have in life. I have come to the personal conclusion, that it is more important to have a passion and desire for helping people, rather than making money off of them. In my 26 years, I have personally witnessed the importance of solid friendships and business relationships. I have seen first-hand how these relationships can make or break your business plans. Having only been in business for myself about 4 years now, I now know it is best to not only acknowledge others people’s needs, but to understand their interests and desires.
Some ideas I have come up with in recent years for making business connections is simply being honest and friendly. Play a round of golf with them, or go to lunch with them. A good business relationship can be as good as or better than any friendship. Sometimes, business connections can start with a normal friendship, and grow from there.  Especially if you have something to offer each other in your respective marketing endeavors.
My first week in internet marketing was probably the most hectic. Nearly every day I had a new idea about how to make extra money and move forward in my pursuit for marketing success. Little did I know that it is best to take it slow and sort out the good ideas from the bad ones. Also, I found that it is NOT a good idea to rush out and buy the first new shiny marketing product that claims to make you “$10,000 a month” in no time. Personally, I have discovered that most of, if not all of the information you need to be successful in internet marketing is all on the internet for free, ironically.
So in closing, I would recommend you be as tight with your money as possible and take the time to find as much valuable information as you possible can for free. Make believe that you are on your last $50 (hopefully you are not) and just try to reach people in need of the product you have. Enlighten them in possibilities that it offers and just show them how you are a product of the product.

My Passions

For someone like me, it is difficult to find just one passion.  I have always found something interesting about nearly everything that I have been involved in.  From the time I was a kid up until now, I kept changing what career I desired to have.  I guess it is because I cannot see myself doing one thing the rest of my life, when there is so much out there to investigate and learn.  I have several different passions that I would like to share.
One of my oldest and most understood passions is the desire to know how things work, and what causes them to work like they do.  This is an interest that has been with me since I can remember.  It all started when I had my first toy car and truck. I would always pretend that they were real, and that they made realistic car like noises. I would be fascinated with the moving parts and sometimes would even take apart some of the bigger toys, then put them back together. All the way through grade school and high school, I kept up this pursuit. Eventually, I ended up attending a technical school in Ohio where I majored in diesel and hydraulic systems. I can now say that I am very up to speed on how all the technology in my everyday life works. This includes, but is not limited to: my vehicles, home appliances, radios, lawn mower and the air conditioning unit at the house.
Knowledge of how things work has been more than just a passion though. It has become a blessing in disguise. Over recent years, I found myself having to repair my various vehicles when they had a mechanical problem.  This would have cost me potentially thousands of dollars in repair costs. Fortunately, since I am passionate about mechanical systems and how to repair them, I was usually able to complete the repair myself without spending hundreds of dollars every time at the shop. Sometimes I have even had friends call me up and ask me to look at their car or lawn mower.  I usually don’t hesitate to do so, especially if I am not busy with something already.  Because of this, I am well known for being the knowledgeable guy who friends can depend on to help them when they are in a bind.
Another passion of mine, which has revealed itself more recently, is that of horticulture and landscaping.  Having lived on a small farm for most of my life, it is no surprise that horticulture and agriculture is high on my list of favorite things. Back in 2007, I decided to take landscaping classes and get my commercial landscaping license. This was a pursuit in which I had to shift from a mechanical mindset, to more of a nature and science based way of thinking.  I found out quickly, that horticulture was going to test me in ways that I was not familiar with. One example would be that I had to memorize the common names and scientific names for dozens of different plants that grow in this area. Before long, it would become a habit of mine to attempt to identify every tree, bush and type of turf grass that I came across.  This acted as my practice for the big landscape license test that was to come. If I could identify the plant genus and species, and also know exactly what conditions to use them in, I would pass the test for sure. Staying motivated and not wasting an opportunity was the best thing for me to do, to learn these plants in time for the exam.
However recently, I have come to understand, that the true center of my passion revolves around learning and understanding.  Understanding everything that is unknown to me and improving my understanding of that which I am already familiar with.  I usually find that I am not content with just knowing the basics.  I have to push myself further because I am concerned with being more of an expert as opposed to being a novice.  I am again going to implement these same learning plans in the new blog I have started.  I have plans to blog about natural health products, one product of which I am using and marketing, and learn about the world of natural health. This is along with going to school full time and working part time.  I am sure that this will test my patience and perseverance, but I am confident that I will succeed.
I have come to realize that, in life, an individual never really stops learning.  At no point in their life do they actually “know it all” about anything.  I suppose this is a good thing for me, because I do not think that I will ever not want to know how something works. I will never pass up an opportunity to study something new and take myself to the next level.  It simply goes against how I am, and I am not passionate about being stagnant and not learning. I challenge you to find your passions. Don't just go into something halfhearted. Give it your all, because one day you will not have any more time to pursue those things which you are passionate about.

Be Aggressive

We often find ourselves standing at the crossroads of life, having to decide which road to take. What lies ahead may seem scary to most, especially when money and livelihood is on the line.  We could easily find ourselves in a moment of weakness. A moment where where we could easily give into temptation and the desire to go back to the road more easily understood and traveled.  I found myself at these very crossroads just a couple of weeks ago.  I had to decide if I was going to reenter the workforce or take the opportunity to further my education and pursue a bachelors of science. I feel that this is the best route for me, and now there is no looking back. Just as the crew of the space shuttle cannot turn back once the shuttle launches. They are going into space whether they like it or not, and they cannot change their minds. At this point in a person’s life, they have to be as courageous and aggressive as possible.
At one point in my life, I thought it was advisable to be passive and always give people their way. After all, I was taught in grade school to play nice and always respect everyone else. Unfortunately, it has taken most of my life, up until now, to deprogram myself from this mindset.  It has been just recently that I have realized that being aggressive and decisive is the real key to happiness and success in life. When you burn with desire for what you want, and you have a good strategic plan for how to obtain it, the sky is the limit. My recent decision to attend college and begin my online marketing career definitely falls under this jurisdiction.  I realized today that I have always been most aggressive in pursuing knowledge and the truth. This is my strength. This is my purpose. I know that I can use this to get myself where I want to go and to choose the road that I need to travel down, whether it is a comfortable road or not. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Pinpoint your strengths and realize the skill or ability that you most aggressively pursue and then you will have the recipe for a prosperous and effective life.

A must have for absolute noobies

A must have for absolute noobies

Fasting Guide; what is fasting? what can it do for you?

The goal of fasting is not necessarily to go without food but to draw nearer to God. The bible defines fasting as "restricting food for a spiritual purpose". Whenever fasts are mentioned in the bible, they are for a spiritual purpose.

Choosing the right fast for you:

Your fast should begin as a personal challenge. However, it is very important to know your own body as well as your options. The most important part of this fast is to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.

Different Types of Fasts

So what different types of fasts are there?  To answer that question, let's start off with an extreme example. However, you should keep in mind that this particular method is not advised, but is simply used as an example.
Absolute fast: this is what Moses used when he was on Mt. Sanai for 40 days. We learn about this in Exodus 34:28.  "he neither ate bread nor drank water"...an absolute fast is usually not used by anyone, at least not for a long period of time. Some people choose to obstain from all food and water for a short period of time, but a longer period is not advised since physical complications could result.

Normal Fast: is a fast where a person only consumes water. This is the type of fast practiced by Elijah in 1st Kings 19:8, and Jesus in Matthew 4. In these passages, it is not 100% clear that Elijah and Jesus abstained from only food for 40 days. However, the stories about Elijah going without food does not mention water, and the Bible says that Jesus was hungry but did not mention thirst.

Partial Fast: this is where some foods are restricted. Here are 2 examples of some commonly used partial fasts.

  • Juice Fast: This is perhaps the most popular and effective of all the fasts. This is where a person simply consumes vegetable and friuit juices and water instead of solid food. Many people include whey protein in this type of fast. If you decide to make this a liquid only fast, you can still just substitute juices for 1 or 2 meals a day if you think it suits you better.
  • Daniel Fast: this type of fast was sued by Daniel the prophet in the book of Daniel 1 and 10. The Daniel Fast is mostly a fruit and vegetable fast. It is ok to consume some starchy vegetables and dairy, but you should follow the guidelines of this fast as close as possible. You can visit the website: www.daniel-fast.com for more information.
  • Also, check out this new dietary supplement. Its called Lamanine, and it could help you with a variety of problems in your life. http://www.purefreedomteam.com/i/newstart

Update
Feb. 6th 2012

Today I did what I call a daytime fast. I did not have anything to eat from morning till dusk. I only drank water. Towards the end of the day, I had lemon juice from a fresh lemon, in a small glass of water.   I have read that the lemon juice, as well as apple cider vinegar, can balance the PH of your body and allow for better energy levels. Usually once every few weeks, I do a Sunday daytime fast. Which usually consists of some fruit in the morning, and nothing but water till dusk. Of course I take my Laminine pill in the morning. Today, I only took one Laminine pill in the morning, and felt great all day. In fact, I have not felt better since after I first started taking Laminine on December 31st. More to come soon...

Laminine can work for you too!

Follow me on this personal journey as I try this new product called Laminine.

Day 1: I feel more focused and relaxed than usual.  I’m still skeptical, so I will wait a few more days.
Day 2: I feel more relaxed overall. Less anxiety. Normally I need 2 cups of coffee in the morning to get motivated. Today, I just had a half a cup for the heck of it. Also felt like going for a jog, but did not have the time. This is only day 2, so stay tuned…
Day 3: Had a GREAT nights sleep last night. Normally, I can’t remember my dreams, and on the rare occasion that I do, they are sketchy at best.  This is the dream experience from last night: I was standing on the beach, looked into the water, and there were colorful tropical fish swimming in the surf. Almost so real I could reach out and touch them.  Heard some other people walking by on the beach, saw some kids building a sand castle.
Found myself reading some boring magazines that I wouldn’t normally care for. I read several pages before I put it down. Used to be I would have to force myself to read one page. I think this stuff is working!!

Day 4:  Had another goods night sleep. Woke up refreshed and with more energy than normal, despite having only 5 hours of sleep. I have enough energy to go to the gym and exercise tonight, after a stressful day. I think I will start recommending this product to the people I know :)

Day 5 Slept good again. Kept positive despite a very stressful day signing up for classes.

Day 6 Still noticing good concentration, less anxiety. I don't feel the need to buy convenient store junk food or energy drinks nearly as much as I used to. That type of food is garbage anyways.

Day 7 Have a good amount of energy this morning. Feel that I don't need coffee, but I made some anyways. Took a little longer to get out of bed this morning, but overall, not bad.  As I sit here typing this, I am having no problems at all with concentration.  Usually, I would have lost interest after about 5 minutes, but I am just humming away right now.

Day 8 A little harder to wake up this morning, but I worked a lot yesterday, so its not a surprise. I noticed that I didn't need any coffee this morning.

Day 9 Woke up with a good attitude again. Had a good level of energy again. Went to the store and bought a bunch of fruits and vegetables. I am about to start a new fasting routine. More to come...

Day10 Another refreshing morning. Had another series of vivid dreams. I feel like I am ready for the day... 5:30pm I feel no need for coffee, however, I had a slight headache for most of the day. This was because of a caffeine withdraw. Next time I will drink coffee anyways even if I don't feel like having any.

Day11 Good level of energy again this morning. Had some coffee this time to keep from having a caffeine head ache. headed to the gym right now. I feel as if I have a lot of energy to do cardio and weight lifting...

Day12  Another good morning. Just sipping coffee today as I write this. Off to do some work later this morning and have french class tonight as 6:00.

Day13   Slept good. Felt positive all day again. I am on an alcohol and energy drink fast for the next 21 days. Its actually going well so far. It seems like Laminine is helping me cope with these vices.

Day 14  Another successful day using Laminine. Had no problems or set backs today. I seemed to sail right through what ever task I had today and did not have any negative feelings.

Day 15  Today is my last day taking the 4 a day dosage. Starting tomorrow, I will drop back to 2 a day. It will be interesting to see what type of effect this has on me. As for right now, I am sipping coffee (that I don't really need anymore) and about to start reading another interesting book.

Day16  Alright, so this morning I am only taking one capsule. I hope that I still notice the same positive effects that I have been noticing thus far.  Let us just wait and see.

Day 17  Woke up, took a shower and immediately noticed that I have enough energy to tackle the day. And this is before coffee!  If you want to know more, just follow this link. www.mylifepharm.com/newstart
